Description

View of a plain bordered by sheer-sided dunes in Al Batin sands in the Empty Quarter (Rub' al Khali). In the foreground a line of footsteps leads off to the left, bypassing a deep depression in flat, bare sand. In the background, a high, wind-rippled dune with sheer sides looms above a flat plain, which is itself covered with small dunes and dotted with sparse vegetation.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
