Full length standing portrait of a boy standing in the midst of a covered suq (market) in the city of Sharjah. A boy wearing a thobe (long shirt) and a ghutra (headscarf) stands in the centre of a market thoroughfare. On either side of the boy merchants wait at market stalls backed by buildings. Above the market a shade canopy made from palm fronds has been erected over the thoroughfare.
