Description

View of three members of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, Salim bin Kabina, 'Amair bin 'Omar, and Salim bin Ghabaisha, riding camels in the vicinity of the Ramlat Unayq, near the Dhahir mountains north of Al Ain. The party is travelling from Al Ain to Jabal Sumeini. In the foreground Salim bin Ghabaisha (right) rides his camel across the top of a sand ridge behind a baggage camel. Behind him 'Amair bin 'Omar (centre) and Salim bin Kabina (left) follow on their camels. Below them the dune is bare of all vegetation. All three men are tribesmen of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
