Description

Half length portrait of a Bedouin man, possibly a member of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, in Al Muwaiji near Al Muwaiji Fort in Al Ain oasis. A man wearing a plain thobe (shirt) and a polka dot patterned headscarf stands facing forward. He has a trimmed white beard and is smiling. In the distance behind him couched camels rest in the sand.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
