Description

View of Wilfred Thesiger's party camping at Ma' Shadid well in the Wadi Ghudun. In the foreground Sultan bin Ahmad walks in front of a group of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin guides, who are standing together in the central foreground. Sultan bin Ahmad is a sheikh of the Sh'asha lineage of Bayt Kathir Bedouin and the Bayt Kathir leader of the expedition. All around them piles of equipment lie in the sand, and in the left background three camels are couched in the sand.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
