Description

View of Wilfred Thesiger's party travelling in the Al Khatam sands south of Al Ain, on their journey towards Al Humrah sands. In the foreground a few tufts of vegetation grow on the side of a sand dune rippled by the wind. In the left distance beyond, three of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions ride camels beside a far low dune. On the right the curved crests of two nearer dunes rise up above the lower sands surrounding them. A few tall trees grow amongst the dunes, and in the distance low rolling dunes stretch out across the horizon.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
