Description

Portrait of a peregrine falcon (shahin), belonging to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's hunting party, resting in the sands near Al Ain. A hooded peregrine falcon perches on a carved wooden wakir (block) staked in the sand. The peregrine faces towards the near left. A falconer's mangalah (cuff) lies in the sand at the base of the wakir.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
