Description

View of Wilfred Thesiger's party camping with Duru Bedouin in the Wadi al 'Ayn. On the left three men stand next to a couched camel. Two of the men are fixing the load on the camel's back. In the centre Mahalhal bin 'Ati, a tribesman of the Al Khamis lineage of Awamir Bedouin, stands with his hands on his hips next to a couched camel. On the right another man leans over a couched camel. In the background a number of Duru Bedouin men stand in an expanse of sand bordered by large trees and bushes.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
