Description

View of rocky valley on Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] mountain. In the foreground a lone bush grows in rocky soil on a valley slope. A few clusters of vegetation grow in the valley floor among light coloured rocks. In the background the far slope of the valley rises into high limestone peaks in the distance. Wilfred Thesiger spent a week on Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] hunting Arabian Tahr [Hemitragus jayakari] with Arab and Bedouin guides in April 1948.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
