Description

Half length standing portrait of an Iranian porter on a boat in Dubai Creek. A middle-aged man with a stubbly beard stands facing forward. He wears a light coloured waistcoat over his shirt and a small ghutra (headscarf) tied over his forehead. Behind him an abra (ferry boat) sits on the water, while in the far distance buildings line the opposite side of the creek.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
