View of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party in the sands near Umm az Zumul well, during their journey towards Wadi Al Ayn. In the foreground small tufts of vegetation sprout from a patch of sand where four of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions, far left, are unloading the party's camels. A number of already unloaded camels wander across the sands in search of grazing. In the distance behind them a large white sabkha (salt flat) stretches out below a far ridge of high rippled dunes.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
