Description
Close up portrait of Salim bin Kabina, one of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions, in the area west of the Hamrat ad Duru region. Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of the Rashid Bedouin, faces forward. The handle of a khanjar (dagger) is visible over his thobe (shirt), and he wears a headscarf tied with an 'agal (head rope).

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
