Description
View of four Bedouin men walking across an open area in front of a watchtower in Al Ain/Buraimi oasis. At the centre four men walk towards each other over an open area of grass. Behind the men is a two storey watchtower. On the left a date palm grove sits behind a ruined wall which connects to the base of the watchtower. In the far right distance a small village sits at the edge of a further plain. This image was taken during April 6-30, 1948, when Wilfred Thesiger stayed at Al Muwaiji fort in Al Ain as a guest of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
