Description
Portrait of a peregrine falcon (shahin), belonging to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's hunting party, resting in the sands near Al Ain. A peregrine falcon perches on a carved wooden wakir (block) staked in the sand. The peregrine faces forwards, its head turned to to the right. A falconer's mangalah (cuff) lies in the sand to the right of the wakir. In the background a camel stands near a large bush in the distance.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
