Description
Portrait of Muhammad al Auf, a tribesman of the Bayt Mbarik lineage of Rashid Bedouin and one of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling companions, resting the Al Batin sands near Liwa oasis. Muhammad al Auf sits in the sand, leaning on a pile cloth under his right arm. He is wearing a dark headscarf and light patterned loincloth.
