Description
Half length portrait of Muhammad bin Al Jabari, a guide in Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, taken during the party's journey from Ramlat al Ghirbaniyat to Furai well. Muhammad bin Al Jabari, a tribesman of the Awamir Bedouin, sits facing forward, leaning slightly to the left. He wears a silver khanjar (dagger) on a cartridge belt over his thobe (long shirt), and a headscarf topped with an 'agal (head rope).

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
