View of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party travelling towards a salt flat in Liwa oasis. In the central foreground two men from Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, tribesmen of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, walk along the crest of a dune with their camels. In the distance beyond the men, a few more ridges of dunes rise in front of a large salt flat (sabkha). A cluster of thick vegetation grows along the far edge of the salt flat, where the flat is bordered by high, sheer-sided dune massifs.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
