Description
View of a peregrine falcon (shahin) killing its prey, a MacQueen's Bustard (houbara), in the sands surrounding Al Ain. In the foreground a peregrine falcon, which belongs to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's hunting party, pins a MacQueen's Bustard to the ground with its talons. The peregrine holds its wings out over the bustard to maintain its balance. Large plants, possibly sedge (qassis), grows in the foreground.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
