Description

Portrait of a man walking inside a market (suq) in Manama on Bahrain Island. In the foreground a large patch of shade cast by an overhead canopy covers a thoroughfare. Behind a man in a light thobe (long shirt) and headscarf walks through a spot of sunlight along a market thoroughfare. Market stalls line either side of the aisle, and in the far distance men stand at stalls.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
