Description
Portrait of a peregrine falcon (shahin) with its prey, a MacQueen's Bustard (houbara), in the sands surrounding Al Ain. A peregrine falcon, belonging to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's hunting party, wrestles with its quarry, a MacQueen's Bustard. The peregrine stands with its wings spread wide and its talons clasped on the back of the bustard. It is biting the bustard's neck. Feathers and a few sprigs of dry grass lie in the sand.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
