Description
Half length seated portrait of Salim bin Kabina, one of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling companions, at the southern end of Jabal Hafit (Jebel Hafeet), near Al Qabil. Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, sits on the ground facing towards the right. He is smiling and holds a rifle in one hand. He wears a thobe (shirt) and a headscarf topped with an 'agal (head rope). In the background the limestone cliffs of Jabal Hafit (Jebel Hafeet) rise in the distance.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
