View of limestone cliffs atop Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] mountain. In the foreground small boulders lie on a slope, with a few tufts of vegetation growing between them. In the central background a steep limestone cliff, mostly bare of vegetation, rises above a rock ravine. Wilfred Thesiger spent a week on Jebel Hafeet [Jabal Hafit] hunting Arabian Tahr [Hemitragus jayakari] with Arab and Bedouin guides in April 1948.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
