Description
Seated portrait of a curly haired boy of the Mahamid lineage of Duru Bedouin, taken in the region west of the Hamrat ad Duru. The boy is the son of Huaishil, a man who was one of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling companions and a sheikh of the Duru. The boy kneels on the ground, facing forward. He is wearing a plain headscarf and a dark coloured thobe (shirt) topped with a khanjar (dagger).

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
