Portrait of Wilfred Thesiger and Muhammad al Auf sitting side by side on a gravel plain in the region between Yisub well and Wadi Darbat. Muhammad al Auf, a tribesman of the Bayt Mbarik lineage of Rashid Bedouin, sits on the left. Wilfred Thesiger, holding a camel stick and wearing a silver dagger, sits on the right.
