Description
Full length standing portrait of a boy in front of a house in the city of Sharjah. A boy wearing a thobe (long shirt) and a ghutra (headscarf) stands in the centre of an empty lot in front of a two storey house. The upper storey of the house is open with many arched open windows, while the lower storey is completely walled in, with only a single entrance. The house, likely made of coral, is in a state of disrepair. In the far background at the right a barjeel (wind-tower) can be seen above the wall of an enclosure attached to the back of the house.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
