Portrait of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party eating dinner in the Ramlat ar Rabbad sands. Three members of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party sit in a line eating food out of a metal pot in front of them. Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, sits at the far left. He is putting some food in his mouth with his right hand. Muhammad al Auf, a tribesman of the Bayt Mbarik lineage of Rashid Bedouin, sits at the centre with his elbows resting on his knees. Muhammad al Auf looks back towards the man at the far right, who is holding a morsel of food in his right hand.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
