View of two dhows (sailboats) moored in Dubai Creek in Dubai. Two sailboats without sails sit in low water in Dubai Creek. On the left, many boats are beached along the shore, some of them are missing masts. In the far background houses sit along the edge of the creek. This image was taken during Wilfred Thesiger's May 10-18, 1948 stay in Sharjah and Dubai.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
