Description

Seated portrait of an elder tribesman from one of the Qara tribes in the Jabal Qara mountains. The man kneels in the foreground in front of an ivy covered tree. He wears a long shawl wrapped around his shoulders with a khanjar (dagger) tucked into the waist of his skirt.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
