Description

Seated portrait of a Bedouin tribesman, a member of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, under a tree west of the Hamrat ad Duru region. In the right foreground one of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin travelling companions sits in the shade beside a large platter of dates. In the left background another man stands beside a large tree, around which the party's gear lies. In the far distance trees grow on the dry, rocky flat and mountains rise along the horizon.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
