Description

Portrait of an Arab falconer, a retainer in Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's hunting party, riding a camel with a falcon in the sands surrounding Al Ain. A falconer wearing a ghutra (headscarf) and a thobe (long shirt) kneels atop a tall camel holding a hooded falcon and a camel stick. The camel stands in profile facing towards the right, its head turned towards the far distance. The sand dune on which the camel stands is ridged with small, secondary dunes.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
