View of Wilfred Thesiger's party trekking across dunes in Al Humrah sands during their journey to Umm az Zumul. In the foreground a line of tracks crosses a sand ridge, dotted by clumps of qassis (sedge), heading into the central distance, where three of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions ride in a line between rolling sand dunes. In the distance beyond rolling dunes stretch towards the far horizon below a cloudless sky.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
