Description

Full length standing portrait of a boy and donkey in front of a house wall in Sharjah. A teenage boy stands to the left of his donkey in front of a high house wall. The boy is wearing a shirt and wraparound skirt, and holds a cane in one hand. The donkey's saddle is covered with a thick sheepskin blanket. Behind them the wall is decorated with carved plaster embellishments and plants grow in the courtyard behind. In the far background a barjeel (wind-tower) sits on the roof of the house.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
