Description
Seated portrait of one of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's falconers at Al Muwaiji Fort. A man in a light-coloured thobe (long shirt) and a patterned ghutra (headscarf) kneels on the ground in front of a fort wall. He is holding a falcon and a camel stick. The falcon perches on a mangalah (cuff) on the falconer's arm. In the background a tree grows in front of the walls of Al Muwaiji fort. At the time this photograph was taken, Al Muwaiji fort was the home base for Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, then the Ruler's Representative in Al Ain.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
