View of sailors on a dhow (sailboat) travelling through the Persian Gulf from Dubai to Bahrain Island. Three men perch on a section of the main yard that sits between the dhow's two main masts. The men are tying sails. Below them two men fold up a sail. This image was taken during Wilfred Thesiger's May 18-28, 1948 journey by dhow from Dubai to Bahrain Island.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
