Description
Portrait of Salim bin Kabina, one of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions, standing on a sand dune in Al Khatam sands. In the central foreground a line of footprints leads across the crest of a dune to where Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, stands in profile, holding a rifle. He is facing towards the right. In the distance beyond a large dune rises into a high crest on the left, while on the right scattered vegetation grows on low rolling sands.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
