Portrait of Yasir bin Hamud, a sheikh of the Junuba Bedouin, at the southern end of Jabal Hafit (Jebel Hafeet), near Al Qabil. Yasir bin Hamud, a member of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, stands facing forward. He wears a khanjar (dagger) on a cartridge belt over his thobe (shirt) and wears a plain headscarf. Behind him, on the left, a rifle lies on the ground. In the far background a number of trees grow on the flat below Jabal Hafit (Jebel Hafeet), which rises in the distance.
Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
