Description
Side view of four dhows (sailboats) moored along the shore of Bahrain Island. Four dhows are moored in the sea facing into the right distance. The nearest dhow, possibly a j?lb?t [jalboot] , sitting at the centre has two masts, a square-shaped stern, and an upright bow. Behind it on the left a boom, with a rounded stern and a pointed bow, is moored. A third boat, possibly a sambuk, is moored futher back on the left. At the far left the bow of a dhow is visible at the edge of the frame. The sea around the dhows is gently rippled by the wind, and above the sky is clear and cloudless.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
