Description
Portrait of a peregrine falcon (shahin) with its prey, a stone curlew, in the sands surrounding Al Ain. In the right foreground a peregrine falcon belonging to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's hunting party stands on a stone curlew, holding it down on the sand. The stone curlew's neck is broken and leans to the left. In the far background dry tufts of vegetation grow in the sand.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
