Description
View of locals and Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party at a well during their journey from Jabal Sumeini to Sharjah. Four Bedouin men stand around a well opening made of concrete or rammed earth. The two men on the right hold long ropes for hauling water. A number of camels and men wait in the background behind the well. Trees and shrubs grow on sand dune in the distance.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
