Description
View of Salim bin Kabina, a member of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, on a dune in Al Humrah sands during the party's journey to Umm az Zumul. In the left foreground Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, stands on the crest of a dune. He balances a rifle in a tasselled case on one shoulder, and holds a camel stick. Behind him another dune ridge rises, and in the far distance beyond a sabkha (salt flat) lies at the far right, bordered by high dunes.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
