Upper body portrait of two men in Al Ain/Buraimi oasis. Two Arab men wearing thobe (long shirts) and ghutra (headscarves) stand side by side in an open grassy area. Behind the men a few shrubs can be seen in the far distance. This image was taken during April 6-30, 1948, when Wilfred Thesiger stayed at Al Muwaiji fort in Al Ain as a guest of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
