Description
Portrait of Salim bin Turkia and his son Musallim bin Anauf, members of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party, sitting side by side at the party's camp during their journey from Yisub well to Wadi Darbat. Salim bin Turkia, a tribesman of the Bayt Gidad lineage of Bayt Kathir Bedouin, sits on the left working on a rope. He is using a stone as an anvil and a smaller stone as a hammer. Musallim bin Anauf sits on the right, holding a piece of cloth in his lap.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
