Description

View of three members of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling party making camp in sand dunes west of Wadi Samhan, during their journey from Al Ain south to Wadi Samhan. Muhammad bin Al Jabari, a tribesman of the Awamir Bedouin, sits on the left beside a large shrub, holding a cooking pot. At the centre Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, sits holding the head rope of a tall camel standing above him. On the far right a third member of the party sits amongst piles of baggage. In the distance beyond large trees and shrubs grow between low rolling sand dunes.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
