Description
Portrait of Salim bin Kabina, one of Wilfred Thesiger's travelling companions, making a fire in the Shi'b al Raqq near the Haij well. Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, is building a large fire out of sticks. A metal pot rests in the sand in the foreground.
