Description

View of Wilfred Thesiger's party in their camp in Al Khatam or Al Humrah sands south of Al Ain. In the foreground Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions stand nearby their camels amongst At the centre a few couched camels sit amongst scattered camping gear and camel blankets lying in the sand, while a member of the party walks after a camel walking towards the left. On the right four more men stand next to couched camels. In the background a number of hadh (Cornulaca monacantha) bushes grow below a long dune which rises along the background.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
