Description

View of a man standing in front of a gate at Al Fahidi fort in the Bastakiya quarter of old Dubai. A man wearing a ghutra (headscarf) and a thobe (long shirt) stands in front of a large wooden door reinforced with bands of iron barbs. The door is set into a high gate topped with ramparts. Along the side of the gate and at the bottom of the wall the coral from which the wall is built is exposed.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
