Description
View of the square in front of the Sultan's Palace in the city of Shibam in Wadi Hadhramawt. In the foreground a donkey walks toward a well in the middle of the square. The minaret of Maruf ba Jamal Mosque is visible on the left. On the right is the Sultan's Palace. It is comprised of two large multi-storey buildings, each one painted with thick alternating horizontal stripes. The windows of the palace are covered with carved wooden grilles.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
