Description

Three-quarter length portrait of Salim bin Kabina, one of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions, resting in the Al Batin sands near Liwa oasis. Salim bin Kabina, a tribesman of the Bayt Imani lineage of Rashid Bedouin, is lounging in the sand, propped up on his right elbow. He is wearing a patterned loincloth, a beaded belt, and arm bracelet, and looks off into the far distance.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
