Description

View of Wilfred Thesiger's party travelling in Al Khatam sands south of Al Ain, on their journey towards Al Humrah sands. In the near foreground tufts of qassis (sedge) poke out of the slope of a sand dune, while nearby one of Wilfred Thesiger's Bedouin companions walks with a camel. In the further distance three more members of the party walk and ride in a group, heading towards the far left. In the distance beyond low rolling dunes stretch out towards the horizon on the left, while on the right a large sand dune rises.

Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
