Seated portrait of three Manasir Bedouin men at their encampment in the Baynunah sands. Two Manasir men and a teenaged boy sit in a row front of tall vegetation. Each man wears a ghutra (headscarf) hanging down from his head onto his shoulders and a light coloured thobe (long shirt). The man at the centre drinks from a small cup and holds a camel stick. In the far right a forth man sits in shade in the background. This image was taken during Wilfred Thesiger's journey from Al Ain to Liwa oasis, Al Dhafra and Baynunah sands in November and December 1948.
Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
